Setting
What is Mabinogi?
Mabinogi is a MMO developed by devCAT studio and published by Nexon.It is a life of fantasy based on Welsh mythology where you can customize a character and then take up skills like combat, magic, and cooking as you explore the Erinn, a land of wonder, danger, and unlimited opportunity.
The world of Erinn
Erinn is the primary setting of Mabinogi. It has two main continents - Uladh and Iria, with the island of Belvast sitting in the Moyer ocean between them.Travel to various settlements, from small villages to great cities, that dot a land full of diverse biomes. Delve deep into dangerous dungeons and worlds to unravel their secrets. Or, make the greatest apple pie anyone has ever tasted. It's your fantasy life after all.
The Soul Stream - the first place Milletians (player characters) reach before starting their life in Erinn, is a dimension between reality and death that cannot be easily accessed by Erinn's inhabitants.There is also a parallel world of Erinn known as Tir Na Nog, and a mirror copy of Erinn known as the Shadow Realm.

Character Creation
So you wish to join, that's great! Let's go over what you need to do to participate in the group.
Read the rules and guidelines of the group and character creation.
Join the Mabinogi Adventures Discord.
Choose the roles that apply to you and your preferences within in the group.
Put together a character following the rules and guidelines (Optional: Fill out the visual character sheet) and post an introduction in the appropriate channel.
That's it! If anything is off with your introduction, a moderator will privately contact you, otherwise you can mingle with others and their characters!
Guidelines
Below are the guidelines for characters within the group.
Character information within the group must adhere to the PG16-rated rule and to Discord's policies and guidelines.
No canon characters (i.e. Castanea, Elatha, etc.).
The native species of Erinn are allowed as characters within the group, this includes: Humans, Elves, Giants, and Fomors.
Gods/Deities are an exception to the point above and may only be allowed after getting their lore approved by a moderator.
Milletians are allowed. Though, even if they are beings from other worlds, please keep them grounded within the setting as much as possible.

Rules
Below are the rules for all our community spaces. If you feel that someone has violated one of these rules, please contact a community moderator privately, and provide evidence if possible.
General
π Members must be 18 years old, or older.π No bigotry; ableism, antisemitism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.π Be respectful of other members and players in-game. This includes their time, their well-being, and their consent. You should not insult or harass others. If someone asks you to stop, you need to kindly stop.π Communicate problems, issues, or concerns to a moderator ASAP before it becomes an even bigger problem.π Any content that is shared within community spaces must be PG16-rated and adhere to Discord's policies and guidelines. Roleplay in group channels or publicly in-game should not include excessive violence or gore, illegal drug use, or sexual content. If you wish to roleplay these topics, please do so privately with your roleplay partner's consent.π GenAI usage, copying, tracing, and plagiarism of creative works will not be tolerated.
Roleplay Etiquette
π When you are talking out of RP text, use "(( ))" to indicate such, or use an appropriate chat channel.π Do not rush others for a response; a reminder is okay, but please practice patience, as people have lives outside of roleplaying.π You cannot declare your character(s) to know someone without permission from the other person(s).π You cannot declare your character(s) to share history or a background with another character(s) without permission from the other person(s).π You cannot make another person(s) notice something; you have to let them notice it themselves.π You cannot make a person say something, nor may you tell them to say something outside of RP chat (your character may tell them to say something in RP chat, but they are allowed to refuse).π No god-modding/metagaming (ie: being invincible, overpowered, knowing information about a character that your character hasnβt learned ICly yet, etc.).π No controlling other people without their permission (or the permission of their βownerβ in the case of NPCs).π You CANNOT kill another person(s)'s character without their permission.π Use proper grammar and punctuation to the best of your ability.π Lore-grounded, not lore-confined. Be creative with your characters and roleplay, but try to stay lore-abiding to the setting.π No lore policing other players in the community.π When in doubt, ASK!
Three Strike System
The Three Strike System works exactly like it sounds - you get a strike when you break a rule; the third strike resulting in a permanent removal from the community spaces.In the instance of severe rule breaking or harmful behavior, a moderator is allowed to remove an individual without three strikes.

Who are the Admin/Moderators of this group?
There are currently three Admin of this group: Ainsleys, Birchplease, and Selhou. If you have any questions or concerns, just ask one of them!
Is there an in-game guild for this roleplay group?
There is no official guild for this roleplay group as most of the members were already settled in other guilds and we didn't want to pull them from their communities. If you are interested in joining a guild, there are a couple of guild leaders/officers within the group to inquire about joining one of theirs - or you can possibly ask some other members!
Must I fill out the visual character sheet?
The visual character sheet is not required to join! It is for members to fill out for fun and show off their character's look if they have had custom artwork done. (Remember, GenAI is prohibited!)
Where can I find resources for the group?
All resources for the group can be found HERE. Over time there more resources will be added for character creation, roleplay, and other activities to have fun with!
Where can I find what events are going on?
You can find what events are currently going on, or coming up, on our Discord server or our calendar!
Do I have to roleplay in-game?
Nope! Roleplaying both in-game and on Discord is option for whatever works best for you! We'll try our best to host events on both platforms so all members have a chance to participate.
Can I have more than one character in the group?
Yes, you can have more than one character! But currently we have a limit of three fleshed out characters (backstory, details, ect.) maximum.
